On February 5, the first shuttle carrying Chelyabinsk export products for China and Vietnam arrived at the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port. Chelyabinsk Customs officers conducted customs control over 150 standard containers with agricultural products and electrical insulators manufactured at enterprises in the region. The train was formed using the infrastructure of the Formachevo station of the Yuzhnouralsky transport and logistics complex, the press service of the Ural Customs Committee reports.
"As part of the long–term development of routes along international transport corridors, the main purpose of which is to service Russia's foreign trade with the countries of the Transcaucasia, the Caspian region, Iran, the states of South Asia, the Persian Gulf and China, the customs authorities carry out control as soon as possible. For this purpose, the Yuzhnouralsky transport and logistics complex has all the necessary infrastructure, including the possibility of placing customs post officials on the territory of the TLC," said Mikhail Ponomarev, head of the Chelyabinsk Customs.
In 2023, Chelyabinsk customs officers conducted customs operations and sent 6 container trains to Iran and Saudi Arabia. In turn, officials carried out customs control over 79 imported shipments. South Ural entrepreneurs purchased packaging film, tires, pulleys and rubber hoses from abroad.
