Russian Post temporarily delivers parcels to 24 European countries only by air - a corresponding notification appeared on the postal operator's website. The TASS Post explained this by "bureaucratic difficulties in the registration of ground transportation", ground delivery will resume in the next two months.
The list of these countries listed on the site includes: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Estonia.
At the same time, the Post Office continues to deliver parcels by plane. The terms of air delivery are traditionally shorter than ground delivery, the company assured. Now the Russian Post delivers shipments to more than 130 countries around the world.
"Ground delivery of shipments to Europe will resume in the next two months. The temporary change in the delivery method is due to bureaucratic difficulties in arranging land-based cross-border transportation in the European direction," explained the Russian Post.
