Funds have already been allocated to create a border crossing between Russia and China on Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island in the Khabarovsk Territory. Interfax writes about this, referring to statements by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The head of government arrived in Khabarovsk on a working visit on Monday. He was shown master plans of Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Khabarovsk. Dmitry Demeshin, Acting Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, who spoke about these projects, also mentioned plans for joint development of Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island with China.
"We expect to start this project this year. Here, of course, we ask very much that the border crossing be built within the time limits set by the president," he addressed the prime minister.
Mishustin, in turn, noted that funds for the border crossing have already been allocated.
