Customs officers of Poland and Lithuania are blocking goods going to Russia from Italy at their borders, RIA Novosti reports, referring to a statement by the president of the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in Russia (GIM Unimpresa) Vittorio Torrembini.
"There is clear discrimination on the part of Poland and Lithuania. Their customs officers can, for example, simply block goods going to Russia from Italy, although the goods are illegal and all documents are in good order," he said.
At the same time, they easily pass their cargoes through the borders, he said. "Isn't it strange that Lithuania has become one of the main wine exporters to Russia today. Is there wine in Lithuania? Are they the smartest? At the same time, the anti—Russian rhetoric of both Warsaw and Vilnius is the loudest," concluded the agency interlocutor.
