On November 27, Polish farmers began a blockade of the border crossing in Medyk in the Subcarpathian voivodeship on the border with Ukraine. The protest action is expected to last at least five weeks and will end on January 3, 2024. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Polish news agency PAP.
At the same time, it is noted in the message, the passage of cars, buses and trucks is allowed. Every hour there will be organized passage of two trucks carrying cargo with humanitarian aid.
The organizer of the action Roman Kondrov from the association "Deceived Village" stressed that farmers are outraged by the words of the mayor of Lviv Andrey Sadovoy. Recall that on the eve of the Ukrainian official said that "Polish friends should return to reality." The mayor called the Polish carriers a "group of marginals" and their actions a "shameful blockade of Ukraine."
According to RIA Novosti, earlier Polish carriers have repeatedly blocked automobile checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. Poles demand to return the permit system for Ukrainian commercial carriers with exceptions for humanitarian aid.
