On the afternoon of December 11, the blockade of the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Polish border was lifted. This was reported by a number of media outlets with reference to statements by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Alexander Kubrakov. The official said that Ukraine and Poland have reached an agreement on unblocking the border.
It was reported that 15 vehicles passed in the direction of Ukraine. "Also, 25 trucks are being processed, they will be heading towards Poland," Kubrakov wrote on social networks.
However, in the evening of the same day, protesting Polish carriers blocked the road on the Polish side with a car and trailer in the direction of the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint, Interfax reports.
"Unfortunately, a semi-trailer that had been standing here for a month blocked the road across," Rafal Mekler, the leader of the Polish protesters, wrote on a social network.
According to Mekler, the Polish police tried to unblock the road at night. He also said that more and more protesters are arriving in Dorogusk.
Recall that the protests of Polish carriers began in early November. Later, farmers joined them. They demand to cancel the transport visa-free regime for Ukraine. The Polish carriers were also supported by the Slovak ones, blocking the border checkpoint "Vyshne-German - Uzhgorod" on the border with Ukraine. On the evening of December 4, they stopped the protest, but resumed it on December 11.
