The Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus approved the ratification of the additional protocol to the agreement with Turkey on the mutual abolition of visas for international carriers, BelTA reports.
"According to the current agreement, the visa-free stay of these truck drivers was limited to 30 days, but as practice shows, it now takes 35-40 days for cargo to be delivered. Therefore, to facilitate cargo transportation, it was proposed to increase this period from 30 to 90 days", — noted Alexander Goroshkin, member of the Standing Committee on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic.
In addition to simplifying the movement of citizens of the two countries engaged in international transportation, this change is expected to have a positive impact on the development of mutual Belarusian-Turkish trade and economic cooperation and an increase in the volume of transport services.
