The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation plans to subsidize up to 80% of the costs of large Russian operators for cargo transportation to Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov at the plenary session of the international forum "Made in Russia". His words are reported by the correspondent of TASS.
"It is known that. when you put a container ship, for example, on a new route, it is often poorly in demand. In order to roll out these new routes, to open a new, let's say, geography for our manufacturers, we plan to subsidize up to 80% of the first few years of such a rollout for large companies that are engaged in cargo transportation. So that the markets of Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia become closer and cheaper," Alikhanov said.
Earlier, Roman Chekushov, State Secretary and Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, stated in an interview with TASS that the Ministry of Industry and Trade is developing a system for subsidizing logistics costs when arranging cargo transportation to Latin America and Africa, which will begin to operate from 2025.
