Rostransnadzor, subordinate to the Ministry of Transport, is introducing a system of modular checkpoints to supervise international road transport on the border of Russia with the EAEU countries.
According to the information, special areas for checking heavy trucks will now be equipped near the border, giving the driver the opportunity not to stop on the side of the road, and experts – to carry out a full range of control measures in one place.
The checkpoint includes areas for checking vehicles and documentation, service rooms for inspectors, diagnostic equipment for technical control and communication systems.
It is possible to carry out documentary control of permits and consignment notes, technical inspection of vehicles, check the work and rest regime of drivers, and also record violations.
"This approach will increase the efficiency of control of international transportation and traffic safety, as well as reduce the time of inspections and optimize the work of control bodies", – the department emphasized.
It was noted that the project is already being successfully implemented on the border with Kazakhstan, where three modular complexes have been built.
