Romanian farmers have unblocked a checkpoint on the border with Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports, citing a statement from the State Border Service of Ukraine.
"The blocking of the movement of trucks through the Porubnoye – Siret checkpoint in Romania has been stopped. The passage of trucks and cars, passenger buses and pedestrians is carried out in accordance with the established procedure," the Ukrainian border service said in a Telegram channel.
Recall that on Saturday evening it became known about the blocking of the checkpoint. At the same time, the reasons and timing of the action were not specified.
Polish-Ukrainian relations have become significantly complicated due to the embargo on Ukrainian grain. On September 15, the European Commission decided not to extend restrictions on the import of four types of agricultural products from Ukraine to several EU border countries, but obliged Kiev to introduce export control measures. After that, the authorities of Slovakia, Hungary and Poland announced that they were unilaterally extending the ban. Ukraine has filed a complaint with the WTO in this regard. In response, the three EU countries announced that they would boycott the meetings of the coordination platform on Ukrainian grain.
