«The countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) advocated for further development of cooperation in the transport sector on a fair and balanced basis», – TASS reports.
The document emphasizes the importance of creating new and modernizing existing international transport routes, including promoting the activities of the North-South and East-West corridors. The declaration also notes the need to use the transit potential of the SCO member states and digitalize logistics procedures.
In addition, the organization's states will continue "implementing the intergovernmental agreement on creating favorable conditions for international road transport," as well as other previously adopted concepts for the development of transport corridors and decarbonization.
The SCO summit is being held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1. It is attended by leaders of the organization's member states, observer countries, and dialogue partners.
