The Federal Customs Service of Russia reports an increase in the queue for entry from Latvia to Russia near Pskov.
The queue for entry from Latvia to Russia through sections of the state border in the Pskov region, where the checkpoints "Burachki" and "Ubylinka" are located, has more than tripled in the last two weeks, to 730 heavy-duty vehicles, TASS writes with reference to the department's message.
So, 350 trucks are waiting at the Burachki checkpoint to enter the Russian Federation, and 380 at the Ubylinka checkpoint. At the same time, two weeks ago, 220 trucks were in line to enter these two checkpoints.
According to the Federal Customs Service, queues for entry into the Russian Federation from Estonia remain. There are 50 trucks in the queue at the Shumilkino checkpoint, and 62 heavy trucks at the Kunichina Gora checkpoint.
In mid-April, the governor of the Pskov region, Mikhail Vedernikov, informed Russian President Vladimir Putin that due to the actions of Estonia and Latvia on the border section passing through the region, logistics chains were disrupted and the cargo transportation sector was under attack. In 2022, the Federal Customs Service announced that the customs services of the EU countries bordering the Russian Federation and Belarus had stopped allowing vehicles registered in these countries to enter the EU.
