Sweden has joined the initiative of Lithuania and the Baltic states to apply unified sanctions control measures against Russia and Belarus, the Lithuanian Customs Department announced.
Now, when exporting goods from Sweden to third countries, a manufacturer's declaration must be provided, confirming that the goods will not be resold in Russia or Belarus.
The developed measures also require the submission of:
➱ a copy of the customs declaration confirming customs clearance of the goods in the third country;
➱ information on the activities of the recipient of the cargo, including the justification for its registration.
Without this information, the cargo will not be cleared for customs operations, meaning it cannot be exported from the country. Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Finland, Croatia, and Denmark also previously joined the agreement on a unified control system.
