The free trade agreement with the EAEU will increase the volume of bilateral trade and pave the way for the conclusion of a free trade agreement between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the EAEU in the future, Thai Foreign Minister Panpri Phitthanukon believes. He stated this at a briefing following a meeting in Bangkok with his Kazakh counterpart Murat Nurtleu, TASS writes.
"I am glad that Kazakhstan is Thailand's largest trading partner in Central Asia. I hope that our bilateral free trade agreement will be ready and signed in the near future. I would like to confirm Thailand's intention to develop economic cooperation with the countries of Central Asia and neighboring countries of the region by starting negotiations on the conclusion of a free trade agreement between Thailand and the EAEU. It will increase the volume of bilateral trade and pave the way for the conclusion of a free trade agreement between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the EAEU in the future," he said
