This was told by the acting head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia Ruslan Davydov during the International Customs Forum in Moscow.
In 2024, it is planned to complete the first stage of the transformation of customs into a virtual one.
- Until 2030, we will summarize the results of the largest project — the conceptual design of the work on the intellectual checkpoint, — said Davydov.
The official also said that he will undergo digital modernization. These are traffic lanes, barriers, scales, equipment for dimensional control and license plate reading. All data for customs control will be integrated into a single digital information system.
- The car comes in, is under the barrier for some time, all data is read there, including from the electronic digital seal. And if there are no suspicions according to the risk management system, then the barrier opens and this car can move on," Davydov explained and added that the only physical control will still remain is checking the driver's passport.
