The Agreement on the Unified Customs Transit system of the EAEU and third countries has entered into force.
The main goal of the project is to launch "seamless" and safe cargo transportation in the Eurasian space, the press service of the EEC informs. The document takes transportation administration to a new level and allows non-member states to connect to the system.
Key innovations for foreign trade participants:
• Single declaration: a common document format for all Contracting Parties.
• Shared databases: integration of customs IT systems for instant information exchange.
• Smart control: mandatory use of electronic navigation seals.
According to the EEC, connecting to the system of third countries will optimize business logistics costs, speed up delivery and make routes through the EAEU more in demand on the global market.
