Daniyar Imanaliev, Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics of the EEC, held a working meeting with Enrique Horta González, Ambassador of Cuba to the Russian Federation, to discuss the implementation of previously reached agreements and prospects for deepening economic partnership, according to the EEC press service.
The parties reviewed the high level of readiness of the draft plan for joint activities between the EEC and the Government of Cuba for the period 2026–2030, which is intended to serve as the basis for further development of cooperation.
Key areas of cooperation:
➭ Cuba confirmed its interest in using the infrastructure of the Mariel Special Development Zone as a logistics hub to increase trade between EAEU countries and Latin American and Caribbean countries.
➭ The EEC is ready to fully support interaction between the business communities of the EAEU member states and Cuba to implement joint projects.
