The EEC discussed the development of transport integration at the 31st meeting of the Advisory Committee on Transport and Infrastructure, which was held by Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Arzybek Kozhoshev, the press service of the EEC reported.
The focus was on road transport, inland navigation, aviation, the introduction of electronic document management, the development of high-speed railways and cooperation with international organizations. The participants were presented the progress of the preparation of the roadmap for 2027-2029 and the report on the implementation of measures within the framework of the Declaration "Eurasian Economic Path" until 2030/2045.
Unmanned aircraft systems were discussed separately: the committee approved a draft recommendation on cooperation in this area and an analytical review of their application. A pilot for the introduction of electronic permits for international road freight transportation was also supported, taking into account the experience of e-CMR.
According to A. Kozhoshev, this will reduce administrative costs and increase the transparency of transportation.
