Amendments to the Agreement between the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China on the International Road Transport of Dangerous Goods, dated October 11, 2021, have entered into force, according to the Russian Ministry of Transport.
The list of hazardous goods permitted for transportation by road between Russia and China has been expanded from 22 to 154 items. These amendments will expand the opportunities for Russian and Chinese consumers and exporters of petrochemical products and strengthen the Russian-Chinese strategic partnership.
To simplify the process of further adjusting the nomenclature of hazardous goods, the Russian-Chinese Subcommission on Cooperation in Transport has been granted the relevant authority. Previously, this required the signing of a separate international agreement.
