The UK has significantly expanded its anti-Russian sanctions list, adding 240 companies, 7 individuals and 50 vessels, the UK Treasury reports.
The main targets of the new restrictions are:
➭ Nuclear energy: Sanctions have been imposed on entities of the Rosatom state corporation — Rosatom Energy Projects and its CEO, Andrey Rozhdestvin — as well as Rusatom Overseas.
➭ Fuel and energy: The list includes PJSC Transneft, as well as major players in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector — the Gazprom LNG Portovaya plant and offshore LNG terminal, and the Cryogaz-Vysotsk enterprise (a subsidiary of Novatek).
➭ Financial sector: The sanctions list includes Fora Bank, Ak Bars Bank, Absolut Bank, Transcapitalbank, Sinara Bank, Tochka Bank, Lanta Bank, and others.
The restrictions also include organizations and enterprises in the defense industry and mechanical engineering. In addition to Russian entities, the list also includes companies from China and the UAE. The restrictions also affected the Polish construction company Alliance Capital.
