The Russian-Chinese trade turnover may reach $300 billion by 2030. Dmitry Volvach, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, expressed confidence in this, TASS writes.
"We are confident that by approximately 2030, we will jointly achieve an increase in trade turnover between Russia and China to $300 billion, or 25 trillion rubles," he said during the IV Russian-Chinese Forum on Interregional Cooperation, which is taking place in Harbin (the administrative center of Heilongjiang Province, northeast of China).
According to the deputy minister, bilateral agreements between the Russian Federation and China should be complemented by "detailed plans, roadmaps with specific activities and projects." "Only then does this lead to a mutual increase in trade turnover and investment activity," Volvach stressed.
Trade turnover between Russia and China increased by 29.3% to $190 billion in 2022. In 2023, it reached a record high of $240.11 billion, an increase of 26.3%.
