Since August 2026, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan have been exchanging advance information on goods and vehicles in transit electronically. This interaction is carried out directly through the information systems of the two agencies based on an interagency agreement, according to the press center of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
Customs authorities receive the necessary information about cargo before it actually arrives at the border. This allows inspectors to analyze the data in advance and prepare for customs operations, significantly speeding up the inspection process.
This reduces the time required for businesses and carriers to complete inspections, reduces the volume of paperwork, and improves the predictability of cargo shipments.
The digitalization of customs interaction has become an important step toward simplifying foreign trade conditions and strengthening transport and economic ties between the two countries.
