On December 21, the Cabinet of Ministers approved new measures to digitalize tax administration, the press service of the Tax Committee reported.
According to the decree, it is planned to introduce electronic consignment notes in the cargo transportation industry of Uzbekistan. These documents will be compiled through the systems of electronic document management operators, with the certification of EDS.
The document says that the launch of the ETTN registration, storage and accounting system for large taxpayers is scheduled for April 1, 2024. Starting in July, it is expected to be extended to all business entities.
The processes of sending, delivering and receiving cargo through ETTN will be confirmed or rejected using EDS. The introduction of relevant information should be accompanied by an indication of the reasons, the agency reports.
The press service emphasizes that the electronic invoice will have to be stored in the database of the Tax Committee for at least five years. If the contract specifies a period longer than this date, the document will be retained until the end of the contract period.
The shipper must prepare an electronic invoice at the same time as the invoice. In case of a technical failure, a paper invoice will be issued with subsequent duplication in electronic format within five days.
The department reminds that earlier invoices were issued in paper form in four copies, with the entry of details separately. This procedure also makes it difficult to verify authenticity and ensure data security.
The implementation of the ETTN system will allow you to arrange cargo transportation at any time and in any place. Also, participants in the process will be able to track the delivery of goods in real time.
The details in the electronic invoice will be added automatically when the originator enters the TIN or PINFL. In addition, specifying the invoice ID number will automatically insert the necessary information into the ESF.
