According to the Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Ukraine "Ukravtoprom", on November 3, Polish carriers plan to start a strike on the Ukrainian border. They demand to tighten the rules of ECMT transportation for foreign carriers (European Conference of Ministers of Transport).
The first meeting of participants has already been agreed with the local authorities near the Korchov checkpoint. The main reason for the strike is excessive competition after the liberalization of international transport between Ukraine and the countries of the European Union.
"If earlier they were limited to one checkpoint, now they plan to block all available entrances from Ukraine," Ukravtoprom reports.
According to her, the participants of the strike intend to block the checkpoints for two months.
Polish carriers believe that Ukrainian carriers need to return permits and prohibit the registration of companies in Poland if their finances are outside the European Union. And also - to create separate queues at all borders for empty trucks, the Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Ukraine "Ukravtoprom" said in a statement.
