The Kazakh authorities have imposed a ban on the import of chicken eggs by road for six months. This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, TASS writes.
According to the agency, it is prohibited to import eggs "from third countries and from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union" for six months.
The measure does not apply to the transit of eggs through the territory of Kazakhstan, as well as their movement from the territory of one member State of the EEC to the territory of another member State of the community through the republic.
The ban was introduced in order to support domestic producers in the spring and summer period. The order will come into force on May 1.
