In France, by decree, summer traffic restrictions are applied to cargo vehicles with a total permissible weight of more than 7.5 tons on Saturdays July 6, July 20, July 27, August 3, August 10, August 17 and August 24, 2024 from 07.00 to 19.00.
According to the Association of International Road Carriers, in 2024, summer traffic restrictions will not be applied experimentally on Saturdays on July 6 and August 24 in the following regions:
July 6th:
· in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Grand Est regions, with the exception of the A6 and A31 motorways in the North-South direction (towards Lyon and towards Beaune, respectively), traffic on which is still prohibited for these vehicles;
· in the Hauts-de-France region, with the exception of the A1 and A16 motorways in the north-south direction (towards Paris), traffic on which is still prohibited for these vehicles from their connection with the A29 motorway (southern connection with the A16 motorway);
August 24th:
· in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Grand Est regions, with the exception of the A6 and A31 motorways in the South-North direction (towards Paris and towards the border with Luxembourg, respectively), traffic on which is still prohibited for these vehicles;
· in the Hauts-de-France region, with the exception of the A1 and A16 motorways in the South-North direction (towards Lille and towards the Belgian border, respectively), traffic on which is still prohibited for these vehicles until they connect to the A29 motorway (southern connection to the A16).
