In 2026, the EAEU will launch a pilot project to use electronic consignment notes in road freight transport.
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is expected to launch a pilot project to use electronic consignment notes (e-CMR) in road freight transport sometime in the first half of 2026. The entire package of technical documentation for the pilot project has already been compiled, according to the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). The pilot project will expedite the receipt and verification of transport documents, the implementation of control and supervisory procedures, and settlements between transport participants.

The EAEU is beginning to use navigation seals for shipment tracking
The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has decided to introduce shipment tracking in accordance with the Agreement on the Use of Navigation Seals for Shipment Tracking in the Eurasian Economic Union. The Agreement provides for the gradual introduction of a tracking mechanism based on product categories and modes of transport. Implementation is divided into three stages, with a total duration of 1.5 years.

Belarus Extends Ban on Export of Certain Industrial Goods
The document states that it is prohibited to export goods listed in the Appendix outside Belarus to EAEU member states, regardless of their country of origin, as well as goods from Belarus outside the customs territory of the EAEU to non-EAEU member states when placed under the customs procedures of export, temporary export, processing outside the customs territory, and re-export.
